FAQs

There are a few questions I've been asked by several people already as we begin this process.  I thought I might list the questions here--that way you can check here first before looking elsewhere for an answer.  I'll add to this page as we go along as I hear about other common questions.

Q: I don't really know much about all this technology stuff.  Will this still be applicable to me or totally over my head?
A: I think this online tutorial might be especially useful for us who feel a little less confident with technology.  Because of the learn-as-you-go format, you are free to work at your own pace and learn from each other and not be pressured into accomplishing something at a set time.

Q: I'm really busy right now.  Is there a deadline for getting each "thing" done?
A: No deadlines.  Well, relatively.  We're all busy, and I don't want to make this a burden.  However, I will post each new "thing" on Sunday afternoons, so if you wait until week 5 or 6 to start working, you will definitely have some catching up to do.  If we spend one week on each thing and skip a week for spring break, we will finish around the middle of May.  I would expect that those who are planning to complete each "thing" will have done so by the end of May at the latest in order to earn a flash drive.
